Salad:
1/2 spinach 10oz
1/2 field greens 10oz
Craisins or strawberries - 1cup
Mandarian oranges - 15oz can drained
Blue cheese crumbles - 5oz
Pear - sliced into tiny chunks
Bacon bits - 6oz
Candied pecans*can buy these or make them
Salad dressing:
1/2 cup Sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
1/2 cup Cider vinegar
1 cup Veg oil
Combine all ingredients (except veg oil) in a blender then add veg oil and blend until “stiffish”
Candied pecans:
1lb of pecans pieces in a non stick pan add at least 1 cup of sugar - over medium/high heat keep mixing until sugar melts and all pecans are covered. Remove pecans from pan and let cool on wax paper.
Assemble salad ingredients just in time to eat - pour most of the dressing over the salad, toss and serve
